The heart and soul of The Muppets was Kermit the Frog. It was Kermit who let us know that "It's the Muppet Show" and it was Kermit's hijinks with Miss Piggy and the rest of the Muppet cast that provided us with countless hours of laughter and enjoyment. However, since Jim Henson-the voice of Kermit-passed away, those at Henson Productions have been afraid, and rightfully so, of putting a differently voiced Kermit into the spotlight. And thus we are presented in Muppets from Space with a Muppet ensemble minus their leader and a plot focusing on Gonzo. Despite several amusing parodies and Hollywood in-jokes, this series was put to rest with its creator.
