Starring Peter Fonda, et al. Released to DVD on March 21, 2000.
Terrance Stamp has got charisma that just pours off the screenóhe is as close to a white Denzel Washington as there isóand that is, definitively, one of the most appealing traits of The Limey. Balancing out Stamp's charm though is the one-note script and off-the-wall style of direction courtesy of Steven Soderbergh. Stamp stars as Wilson, an ex-con just released from prison, very interested in learning who was responsible for murdering his daughter. When he sniffs out Terry Valentine (Peter Fonda), a very rich music industry mogul, the body count starts to grow. With a simplistic plot structure and nature like Mel Gibson's Paybackóthe lead wants revenge and goes out to get itóThe Limey is quite focused, the trouble is, it just wasn't that interesting.
