The Impostors stars Stanley Tucci and Oliver Platt as two out of work actors who unknowingly insult a famous stage actor in a bar and in their haste to get away from offended actor, mistakenly board an ocean liner headed for America filled with the stereotypical wacky misfits one can usually expect to find in screwball comedies. Written and directed by Tucci, I found The Impostors to be a welcome relief from the majority of other recently released comedies. Tucci's constantly changing storylines and slower paced humor mixed quite well with the off-beat and over the top performances by the usual Tucci gang including Tony Shalhoub, Campbell Scott, Lili Taylor and Steve Buscemi. Off-the-wall and funny, The Impostors was a treat.
