This charming story redefines the meaning of love and helps us to remember that it can never be lost. Set inside Rio de Janeiroís busiest train stationóCentral Stationóa young boy, Josue (Vinicius de Oliveira) and his mother journey to contact Josueís estranged father. The two consult a letter writer, DDDD, (Fernanda Montenegro) to send word to Josueís father, but, in a tragic turn of events, the boyís mother is killed. Left in the care of the letter writer, Josue and DDDD embark on a perilous and emotional journey to find the boyís father. However, what they ultimately find is so much more. Together they find love and through that, feel the happiness that they thought was lost. If any movie could heal the wounds of loss, it would be Central Station.
