I enjoy taking hyper-closeups of my subjects and supremely wide shots. Rarely do you see either of these types of photos in magazines... particularly in magazines that deal with Hollywood and Hollywood talent. The reason for this is simple: if there's an article on Brad Pitt, the magazine wants photos that show Brad Pitt, not some ant standing next to some really, really tall trees or the pores of someone's nose. It makes sense when you think about it, but in keeping to the middle ground, magazines tend to lose out on some otherwise interesting photos, like this one. Fortunately for me, Stumped? isn't like other magazines and will occasionally print some of my more leftfield photos... like the one I took of the back of actor Lou Diamond Phillips' head. This picture of Tom Wilson is an fascinating work of art in my eyes that didn't get printed in Stumped? and, as such, will probably never see the light of printed day. So I put it here. • Those are some really tall trees too. I can't fathom how far away from Wilson I had to be to capture this image.
