This photo is so simple and yet so wondrous. It's a guy, a lamp and a wall... and it works. More on the textured wall: good, unique locations are not hard to find. They are everywhere, it's just a matter of how you frame them, angle the subjects and shoot them. Everyone who has seen this photo has asked me the same question, "Where the hell did you shoot this?" When I tell them it's at the intersection of Rush and Superior, some 50 yards from Michigan Avenue, they think I'm kidding. I should have taken a wide angle shot of the location to give you an idea of how 'urban' everything around this wall was. There is a huge plate glass window that starts no more than a foot or two to the right of the picture.
